A hotel setting provides not only a place to have your event but also gives your guest a place to sleep it off. The main advantage of using a hotel instead of a hostel for your stag night is that the venue is more conducive to large groups. The majority of the group will be staying in the hotel, whereas a hostel (yes, there are Hostels in the US) can be a little less convenient. While this is quickly dealt with in most cases, it is important to make other arrangements.
Remember that the stag party usually comes first. If you are using a hotel, this will normally be on the first night of the party so you will want to make sure the hotel is well-prepared.
The next few nights up will be taken up with socializing, drinking, and dancing. You may also get the opportunity to visit a city and then never return. If you are planning to stay in the UK US or anywhere else, it is a good idea to stay as long as possible but a night in Chicago, Las Vegas, London, Edinburgh, or other locations may not offer enough compelling reasons to stay longer than a few nights.

If you indulge in a few late-night activities, such as going out for a meal at a restaurant that ends just before midnight, you can still come out as a winner. Whether this is because of the positive effects of socializing or because of the positive effects of going out, late-night activities can be a good addition to your stag do.
